You're about to see the pictures of a monster expedition which was created in the adventurous mind of Daniël Sopar from Monnickendam, The Netherlands, a.k.a. "Rib-Eye", who has been intrigued by the Dutch sea-heroes ever since he was a little boy. After reading about the Treaty of Munster he decided to follow the exact route of De Witt in RIB's (rigid inflatable boats) with the help of 10 other adventurous guys. After placing an ad in several local newspapers and the Panorama/ Nieuwe Revue, he chose his 10 crew members. While looking at the pictures from this expedition you will be surprised at how few accidents occured during this trip. Especially considering the dangers they met on their way to Gibraltar and Cadiz. Enjoy seeing a little boy's dream become reality. This was not the only expedition Daniël dreamt of. He also wanted to sail around The Cape. He started to plan this expedition with the aid of Ed Zoll a.k.a. "Bear". Sadly Ed passed away, totally unexpected, a short time before they were able to realize this wonderful dream. At this moment in time Daniël will try to make this dream come true on his own and maybe -again- with a little help of his friends.
